Egg Roast
Ingredients
- Oil - 4 tablespoon
- Onion (medium) - 2 nos
- Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder -1/4 teaspoon
- Cloves - 2 nos
- Cardamom - 2 nos
- Cinnamon - 1 small piece
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
Preparation Method
- Boil the eggs in water for about half an hour.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry cloves, cardamom and cinnamon.
- Add the onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add chilly powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry for another 5 mins.
- Add lime juice and fry for 1 more min.
- Cut the hard boiled eggs into half and place them on the fried onions.
- Remove from fire.
- Cover the eggs with the onions.
:- Serve hot with chappathi, appam, uppuma or idiyappam.
