Dates pickle
Ingredients
- Dates (without seeds) - 300 g
- Green chillies(finely chopped) - 4 - 5 nos
- Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 small piece
- Asafoetida - A pinch
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Chilli powder - a pinch
- Pickle powder(Pickle mix) - 2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil ( Nallenna) - 3 tablespoon
- Salt -to taste
- Soak dates in water for 6 hours.
- Then add asafoetida, salt and mix it well.
- Soften the dates with hand.
- Deep fry green chillies and ginger in oil.
- When done add chilli powder and pickle powder and mix well.
- Then add that mixture to dates mixture.
:-Add salt as required - pickle mix usually contains salt
