Fish Molly
Servings - 4 Ingredients
- Skinless fish slices -500 g
- Cinnamon(Karuva patta) - 1 stick
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 2
- Garlic slices - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped ginger - 1 tablespoon
- Green chilly(slitted) -4
- Onion medium(sliced) - 1
- Tomato chopped - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 1 cup
- Black peppercorns crushed - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lime juice - 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 2 sprig
- Second coconut milk - 1 cup
- First coconut milk - 1 cup
- Oil -2 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
Preparation method
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan and fry cinnamon and cardamom.
- Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and onions. Saute till the onions become pink.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except coconut milk and fish pieces and saute.
- Add second coconut milk and stir.
- When boiled, add fish pieces and mix slowly.
- Cover and cook on very low flame for 10 minutes till the fish is cooked.
- Reduce the heat to very low and add first coconut milk. Mix slowly and cook for 1 minute.
Fish molly is ready to serve.
